Our Tuareg Mat comes directly from the Sahara Desert and Mauritania. Each Tuareg mat is handwoven in the Sahara Desert using palm and leather from Tuareg tribes. These Tuareg mats, decorated with exquisite braided leather strands from goat and camel and bearing old Tuareg symbols, are one of the few possessions these minimalist nomads brought with them. Tuareg mats are extremely resilient, designed to withstand some of the world's harshest temperatures. Each is unique and one-of-a-kind.
